most likely your heater controls run via vacuum lines. cracked or broken lines could cause this.
You have vacuum line leaks somewhere.
Heater core changed three years ago,I changed Thermostat Heater still blows cool air.
Yes it will, engine coolant still flows through it when engine is running.
sounds like the vent door that changes the air from defrost to heater is jamed its a little metel door like a flap.follow the cable from defroster switch and you should be at the door, its a manual door
The heater may not be on - but the fan still blows air through the vents when they're open !
bad fan clutch, clogged radiator.....................when you turn the defrost on, the heater core is acting like the radiator...............good luck, Mike
VENT TO HEATER CORE IS NOT CLOSING................
not getting heat into cab not even enought to defrost windows i have changed the heater core an thermostat an back washed the core and still nothing
blower motor resistor
Interior heat uses the engine heat. If the engine is still cold, the heater will blow cold. If the engine is warm and the heater is blowing cold, you have a problem with the heater. Check the water in the radiator and see if it is rusty. If it is rusty, change your coolant, thermostat, and hoses. Look at the heater hoses when someone steps down on the gas pedal. If a hose collapses, replace your heater hoses. Otherwise take it to a mechanic.
The heater valve may not be engaging or the heater core may be blocked.
The rear defrost is electric. The heater works off the hot water in your radiator running thru it and a fan blowing the heat into your compartment.. check your thermostat, it could be that your heater core isn't getting and water to it, that is were your car get's it't heat from, if not that it could be lack of water
