Had the same problem on two occasions with my 99 Blazer...sounds as though your alternator is going bad. The car will run good while the battery is charged up, but as the battery wears down, the engine will run poorly and the gauges will operate erratically. Eventually, the battery will not have enough energy to allow the engine to run, and it will stall.

There are some forums dedicated to enthusiasts of the Blazer and S10 platforms. They attract a worldwide audience. You might want to try those.

I'm not sure about that but if your looking to make sure you have a real ss look at the gauges as the ss had all the gauges in the dash such as oil, amps, water temp where the regular monte's didn't have the special gauges, they had idiot lights.
The 1985 Chevrolet have blazer tail light fuse can be found in the fuse box. The fuse box is located beneath the drivers side dashboard.
The easiest thing to do is remove the inturment panel then remove the two bulbs that you no longer want to come on. I am sure someone could program the ecu not to turn them on but finding them and then the cost for it would be expensive.
Answer location of check gauges lightthe check gauges light is on your instrument panel when it comes on it lights up saying check gauges
Alternator is not charging the battery. When you turn on the lights the system doesn't have enough power to keep the engine running.
Sounds like it is not charging, have the charging system tested, it may be the alternator at fault.
It sounds like a wiring issue. There could be a loose wire on the instrument cluster, on behind the fuse block.
i have a 98 blazer and read in the manual that you have to use the dome override button for this Dome override button has nothing to do with headlights, but with the interior lights in your vehicle. So it depends on what your problem is exactly.
The 2002 Chevrolet Blazer has separate low, high and fog light lamps...total of 6 if you have the fog lights. See sources and related links below for more bulb information.
