Could be a very dirty fuel filter or a failing fuel pump. Try replacing the fuel filter first.
I have never known a Chrysler product to have "driving lights" ("DRL"--- daytime running lights) such as used in GM products. ??I have never known a Chrysler product to have "driving lights ( or daytime running lights -- DRL-- as ther are referred to by Gen Motors)Canadian Models do have them, but not American Models.
Defective fuel pump would be the most likely cause, but it can be other things.
The Alero is made by Oldsmobile not Chrysler. My first suspicion would be a failed fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.
If it was built for the USA market, no. If built for Canada, yes.

If it is running after the engine is shut off, the relay has failed. It is bolted to the frame under the air cleaner.
my 1992 dodge dakota wont stay running it stalls when driving and takes a few minutes to get started but if i wait it will start

depends if your walking running driving Walking it would take about 4 hours depending on the geography, Driving it would take u about 15 minutes if youre driving at 100km/h
check your thermostat and if its opening up then you have a blown head gasket
