: I think you might want to have the alternator checked just to make sureMY 2001 NEON DID THE SAME THING AND MY MECHANIC SAID THAT MY TIMING BELT HAD SLIPPED JUST TWO TEETH AND IT WOULD NEED A NEW BELT MY CAR WAS DUE FOR ONE ANYWAY (87XXX MILES) YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO REPLACE YOUR TIMING BELT TENSIONER AT THE SAME TIME Dodge CARS ARE THE WORST ABOUT THAT GOING OUT ALL IN ALL MY BILL WILL BE AROUND 300.00 WHICH IS NOT TO BAD I GUESS IT BEATS TRYING TO BUY ANOTHER CAR YOU OUT
