possible overheating of fuel pump, or fuel pump relay (if equipped). Or possible overheating of other component. Sometimes clogged fuel filter can cause electric fuel pumps to overheat. If you do change the pump MAKE SURE you also replace the filter. also the ignition module (if equipped) sometimes overheats and causes warm start problems. If you are going to troubleshoot this problem yourself, dont skimp, buy the repair manual, mine shows how to test all the sensors, so you dont replace everything you suspect MIGHT be bad.

Why would a car start and run then out of no where stop running and wont start but after awhile start like nothing is wrong?

Could be that the coil (or coil packs) is breaking down and fails when it gets hot and then works again when it has cooled slightly after a few minutes. A good garage would check this easily and quickly especially a main dealer for the car.

I have a 1997 Chevy cavalier 2.2 that drives fine down the road but after sitting at an idle for a while starts idleing really rough and dies and then wont start for awhile what is the problem?

Is it over heating? Does it have a clogged PCV valve? If neither of those maybe you have a fuel pump that's going bad.

What would make a 1993 marquis all of a sudden not want to take the gas when going down highway but if you let it sit awhile it will start back until it finally cuts off?

There are many things that can cause this to happen. You may have to check all of them to solve your problem. A dirty fuel filter is the most common and the cheapest to repair. You may have a fuel pump going out. You can have dirt stuck in your jet in the carb. You can have vapor lock going on. These are all to do with gas. You may also have jumped time or lost a timing chain or belt.

is there any place in portage, wi. to obtain a passport?

I would suggest going to the Portage County website , reviewing the checklist of things that are needed, then going down to the Clerk of Courts Office. A good site to start at would be: http://www.co.portage.wi.us/courts/passport.shtm
