Why would a Geo just shut down going down the road but then after it sits start for awhile?
possible overheating of fuel pump, or fuel pump relay (if equipped). Or possible overheating of other component. Sometimes clogged fuel filter can cause electric fuel pumps to overheat. If you do change the pump MAKE SURE you also replace the filter. also the ignition module (if equipped) sometimes overheats and causes warm start problems. If you are going to troubleshoot this problem yourself, dont skimp, buy the repair manual, mine shows how to test all the sensors, so you dont replace everything you suspect MIGHT be bad.
Why would a car start and run then out of no where stop running and wont start but after awhile start like nothing is wrong?
What would make a 1993 marquis all of a sudden not want to take the gas when going down highway but if you let it sit awhile it will start back until it finally cuts off?
There are many things that can cause this to happen. You may have to check all of them to solve your problem. A dirty fuel filter is the most common and the cheapest to repair. You may have a fuel pump going out. You can have dirt stuck in your jet in the carb. You can have vapor lock going on. These are all to do with gas. You may also have jumped time or…
I have a 1997 Chevy cavalier 2.2 that drives fine down the road but after sitting at an idle for a while starts idleing really rough and dies and then wont start for awhile what is the problem?
Why will 84 cj7 start and run fine for awhile then cut out and cranks but does not turn over until cooled down?
check ur starter the internal metal brushed might be swelling up and stoping it from starting i had that happen on my old ford when oil driped in to the starter and when i would stop after the car was warm it would cut off and wouldn't start until the starter cooled when i replaced it, it never happened again.
No. Since you are going to keep factoring until all the factors are prime, it doesn't matter what you start with. Example: 36 You can start with 6 and 6, which you would then break down into 2,3,2,3. You could start with 9 and 4, which you would then break down to 3,3,2,2. Either way, you're going to wind up with two twos and two threes. 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 is the…
Why would a bike when you stop pedaling continue rolling but start to slow down and eventually stop?

Grand Prix ignition shuts down after starting and running a short period will start back up and run fine until you shut it off and start it again why?
Ran into this same problem on my 1991 Grand Prix. Could drive it for awhile till it got up to normal operating temp. After that it would die again and would not start until cooled off. Turns out it was ignition control module. This part can be taken off and taken to an auto parts store to be tested. Once replaced, no more problems.
What would cause a 1990 Dodge Spirit to lose power while driving then only start after it sits for awhile?
Valve guide seals are worn. The engine will consume oil when this happens, when the engine is shut down the oil continues to seep into the cylinders for a short time. When you start the engine the puddled oil that seeped in burns off. Oil is always seeping in as the engine runs, but not enough to notice until it sits awhile and is started.
Answer If I was having a problem with high cylinder pressure. I would start with checking for a restriction in the muffler. I would unscrew the muffler and take it off then recheck the compression. If it is still high then check to make sure that the exhaust valve is going up and down and that the exhaust valve port is not restricted. That is where I would start. Good luck.
Subtle withdrawal means that you will not just one day stop taking the drug and never take it again. It means you will start taking less and less until you get off it completely. For example if you were on 20mg of Lexapro a day you would go down to 10mg for awhile (maybe a month or so) then down to 5mg...then some people choose to stop after 5. My advice(not that I am a…
Are you going up a hill? Did you take your foot off the gas and is the compression of the engine slowing you down? Are your brakes sticking? Is your car getting the correct amount of air to fuel ratio? there are lots of reasons why a car would slow down while you're driving it. start with the easiest.
I am no mechanic, but I had the same problem on my 95 Ford Taurus SHO. My car would just shut down while I was driving and turn on for awhile after it shut off. After looking around, I found out it was the crankshaft positioning sensor. I changed it out, and that fixed the problem. I suggest to look online taking to consideration your make and model of your vehicle.
