because the throttle linkage is suck or the carburetor is faulty
Yes if it is stuck open.
Your car may stall or stop running after idle because of a problem with its fuel or electrical system.
bad idle, bad timing, needs tune up , etc.
Engine miss or rough idle, or broken motor mount
No, that has nothing to do with idle speed.
I would suggest that the Choke is switching off and then the idle is set too low
could be the throttle cable is stuck or the idle air control valve is not working causing your car to idle high so when is gear would make the car speed up
I think I understand what you are saying. If your car is stalling and you want to figure out how to get that to quit, have the idle and throttle checked out. Idle might be set to high. Also, the throttle body might need to be cleaned. A great website to figure out how to do this is at www.trustmymechanic.com
If there is an erratic idle then the idle air control valve can be malfunctioning. First perform an engine diagnostic to see if there are any malfunctioning sensors. The ECU will the be able to determine if the idle air control valve is broken.
How would you know about my car? Get literate! The friendly answer is worn engine mounts or to high idle speed.
A vacuum leak could do that. Did it have a high idle before you changed the throttle body? Any codes?
Adjust your idle.
