Yes if it is stuck open.
a bad idle sensor control valve to start with or your egr valve has a vaccum leak
That would depend on the application such as high steam pressure and if throttling is needed
No it will not. It only controlls the idle of the engine.
Check the hose going to your pcv valve. If it is split or not connected good, this will cause the high rev. Did it on my 1998.
Yes, the EGR valve, or port EGR
the heater control valve or DCCV (dual climate control valve) is located next to the radiator on the passanger side just below the high pressure side service connector
It could be the 4-way valve is stuck in heat, or cold. The 4-way valve is a reversing valve which reverses the direction that the refrigerant moves through the unit which would cause it to do exactly what you are talking about. I'm sorry, I just realized that you are talking about a car AC. The first answer is a good probability. Possibly a broken reed valve. Pardon my interruption! :o)
The idle air control valve on a Saturn SC1 is found on the intake manifold. This valve controls how much air enters and engine and allows how high the motor can idle.
Hmm... it could be several factors. Is the Check engine light on? If so, see if it points to your fast idle control valve or air intake valve. Either one may be the cause of the high idle, especially if the idle is rough. The leak in the valve cover gasket could be as simple as replacing the cover gasket, unfortunately, it is difficult to assess the machine over the internet.
The most likely cause would be that the Idle Air Control Valve is stuck . A good cleaning of the throttle plate and air intake system will possibly cure it.
3 things you need to check:Check if your battery is lowCheck if your alternator is producing electricityCheck if your IACV(Idle Air Control Valve) has leaks
Yes it's possible that if you have a stuck open control valve. The rpm's will be really high, so you'll be shifting really hard and late. Usually you can simply fix your air control valve by simply spraying carberator cleaner in there. Or if it's really dirty you have to take off the throttle body and spray it down till it stops sticking.
