Why would a car only overheat when driving in town example stop light to stop light or in neighborhoods and not on the highway also when I idle for more than 15 mins my car gets hot how do I fix this?

Your electric fans have stopped working. Turn on you A/C with the hood open. If no fan is running either the fan is bad (most likely) or the relay is bad (not as likely). Y-THINK-Y
