Do you mean a physical with her regular physician or a physical with her OB?
If she went for the full exam with her OB it could be because she missed appointments early on and is just now getting her work up.
If you mean with her regular doctor, it could be to make sure she is overall healthy. When you go in for a yearly check up your doctor will check you out - blood work, blood pressure, maybe check your lung capacity. WHen you are pregnant you don't have to ONLY see your OB. They specialize in women's health mainling regarding the down under. :) The woman who is pregnant getting a regular physical might have a condition that this doctor is familiar with they are keeping an eye.
