It is a common misconception that gravity does not exist in space. The truth is that in space, gravity is the most important force in governing the movement of large objects. You cannot plot a trajectory in space without understanding gravity.
First of all there is gravity on the moon. If there was not astronauts would be floating in space nothing to stand on. Well, the astronauts would know by the first tests on the moon.
Yes. Gravity is what keeps them in orbit. If it were not for gravity, those astronauts would continue out into space in a straight line.
In space, there is no gravity to overcome. The chllenge to astronauts is how to deal with the lack of gravity.
The zero gravity pen was originally used in space so astronauts wouldn't have to find a pen for example if the zero gravity pen floats then the astronauts would be able to see where a pen is because if the pen did not float then if one of the astronauts needed to write something down they would have to write.
No because then the frdger would float in space there no gravity

We would be floating around like you see astronauts in space do because there is no gravity in space. Gravity is what holds us down to earth.

To train astronauts or other unknown reasons.
Yes weight changes due to gravity and mass is constant in terms of gravity. There is less gravity in space than the earth so they would weigh less but their mass would be the same. They have less gravity pulling on them, so yes. Unless they have artificial gravity creators in or on the space ship that I don't know about.
kmh
At what altitude does the Earth's gravity no longer have an effect on the astronauts or the space shuttle?
It makes astronauts weightless.
