i dont believe its a recall but it is an issue. you can look it up at www.nhtsa.dot.gov/
Check the switch and/or make sure the parking brake pedal is all the way up if it is not that might be air in your brake lines or leak
The BRAKE(!) light will go on steady without the parking brake on.
The parking brake light comes on when you engage the parking brake. Pull the parking brake release handle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the brake light also comes on if the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder is low ( in your engine compartment )
