== == The heater fan is electrically driven, so the fault will be either a loose wire connection, or the heater fan switch needs to be replaced. Have a licensed mechanic test the wiring and the switch function to find the fault and then repair it.
If the blower motor randomly and intermittenly quits and does not work, chances are good the blower motor itself is faulty, if the blower motor does not work on all fan speeds from low through high, it most likely needs a blower motor resistor.
I would look into the blower motor resistor module
Can you feel anything coming out of the vents. Also if you turn on the dial that controls the speed of the blower, and you dont feel anything coming out then you need a fuse or blower motor or mabe a resister for the blower motor. I would have to say that 8 out of 10 times its usually the blower motor resistor. Hope this helps
Bad ground or power wire on the blower.
Check connections at the blower motor, blower motor resistor and at the switch. You may find a melted connection.
The blower motors only work with the engine running. If the blower motor has three wires on the electrical plug, then the blower motor module is built into the unit & it's very expensive. Sometimes, you can tap on the motor with a hammer & it may work or slowly turn. If this is the case, replace the blower motor.
happened to me in my 97. replaced the blower relay. in the relay box on left side under hood. costs 7.00 or so
I would love to help you but i have a 2000 sephia, also check our website www.streetkiaz.com, I am sure we can help you there. :)
Too high a temperature
I had the same thing happening and it was the blower motor. It would come on occasionally and the finally the whole thing died.
What kind of car is is it? Without knowing anything else, I would suggest checking the fuses and relays. It should be the same blower; does it work with the heater? If so, it could be an issue with the a/c - heater control in your dashboard. It could also be a bad blower. If you can get to it, you can check to see if there is current going to the blower with a mulitester. If there is, and it's not on you know it needs replaced.
Blower is about to die. I had same symptoms. Blower would not come on so I would run over bumps then it would engage. Replace blower no problems since.
