Does it go away when you turn the steering wheel? At what speeds? It could be the intermediate shaft in the steering or control arm bushings or tie rod end. Many things can cause such sounds - strut assembly, wheel bearings, steering linkages, etc. In the case of ours, it was the wheel bearings - not a cheap fix, but cured the problem. In most cases this sound is a result of motor sub frame front bolts are loose. Try not to hit stop bars on the parking places in the future. Also check that the control arm bushings aren't seperating. The sway bar links are also a popular cause in all vehicles. front end suspension bushing, worn ball joints. bad shock absorbers and loose enge mounts will all cause this s
Most likely you need a new strut
Yes it is possible. I have a 2001 sentra and recently replaced the front right strut and coil spring. It didn't have a springing sound though, more of a clunk sound when driving over bumps and on turns. The strut was bent and the coil spring broken. Also the sway bars had play. It was safe to drive with play in the bar, but until it got new links put in, it still made the same sound.
Jammed brakes...get them opened up and cleaned if the cars ben idle for a while...or could be the CV joints, try regreasing them
It sounds like it has whats called bump steer. You need to have the camber of the front wheels checked by steering specialist.
I had a similar problem with my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it turned out to be my front sway bar bushings and front sway bar link. The sound was a large clunk sound when I went over bumps. After I got it fixed there were no problems.
Sounds like a Ford, Lincoln, Mercury product if so advise more info and we can go through it.
Can be a loose shock, or loose suspension parts. Can also be loose exhaust system parts. I had a car that made a front-end knocking sound on bumps. Any little bump would do it. Turned out to be bad struts.
Bad CV shaft maybe.
Sway bar bushings
umm it more than likely is your supsension, shocks or possibly even your tires itself GOODLUCK!
It depends on when you hear the noise, but it likely a joint in the front wheel drive unit.
check your front suspension spring
