This is a common problem on Neons, you need to resolder the two large plug connections going to the instrument panel. There is a good description at the following post: http://www.neons.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=18 I had the same problem in my 95. It was caused by a lose battery cable.
A dodge pickup 1500 would stall out while driving because of a defective air filter.
Probably the alternator.
Vapor lock!
Having the radio in a trick go out while driving can many of things. The most common thing that causes this would be lose wiring.
fuel pump
Could likely be a dying battery or bad alternator. I would have your battery checked out. This just happened to me and turned out that my battery was bad.
fuel pump?
I have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 4x4 and it was stalling for no apparent reason, I finally gave up and changed out the ecu (the computer). If your having the same issue a quick fix is to turn your ignition off, then back on and leave it on, disconnect the wiring harness from the ecu unit, then plug them back in.(The ecu unit is on the passenger side firewall under the hood). You will see your gauges come back on. If the gauges are not on, you have to redo the process. JWFryer
you are changing speeds
AnswerYup, in most cases. Check the thermostat.
Resistance buildup in the battery cables. Mine did just that (dash lights flickering, dial gauges jumping up and down, etc.) and once I replaced both battery cables, the problem disappeared. This happened 4-5 months ago.
if it was electical u would notice gauges fluctuating. cougars have problems with the fuel filters getting clogged which would cause hesitation and in extreme cases stalling
