The problem you have sounds like a vacume leak, most likely under your dash, in your heater control tubing. As your driving speed increases, so does the vacume created in your intake manifold, and as your heater control is vacume actuated, it is affected by engine RPM's. Look for a loose fitting, or a tube joint that has come apart under the dash first. Start the car, listen for leaks, you could even blow smoke around the lines to see the smoke get sucked into the loose fitting. If nothing under the dash is found, the vacume leak may be elsewhere, but that usually causes a rough idle too. Hope this helps! W. Cook Canada
sounds like the thermostat is sticking
Blowing out moisture is a sign that the heater core is leaking. Starting out hot and turning cold could be low on coolant.
It's due to your car not having freon go and get it charged. The cold air is from you driving!

Replace Heater Core
Are you are talking about the block heater or the heater fan. It looks like a two part question. The block heater plugs into a house outlet. The cord starts at the front bumper area and goes to the block. A element goes into the block to heat the engine coolant. To trouble shoot: Power from the house plug in a lamp. Cord from the bumper to block heater, Inspect for damage & ohm out the wires. If all checks fine the block heater maybe defective. Now for the fuse. Is it blowing out all the time & does it go to the heater fan.
The water pump on the engine circulates coolant though the engine, radiator and heater core (which is usually located under passenger side of dash). The heater core looks like a small radiator and once the engines coolant starts warming up thr heat can be spread by the blower motor mounted to the side of the heater core. Voila! Hot air blowing out of whatever vent you choose.
On the 1994 BMW 530i, the heater core is located under the dash in the engine compartment. You know the heater core is bad when it starts to leak.
Started at a certain point just means there was an exact place something started, like my fave show starts at exactly 7pm...thats a certain point in time or like I started driving from Lime St....Lime Street is a certain point on the map. Hope this helps...that is sort of a confusing statement :)
on my old heater I found that it was installed in a metal shed. When the door was closed I got a boom because there wasn't enought combustion air. I istall screened vents by the front of the heater and now no more problems. Those screened vents must be of a certain size see the heater mfgr's absolute rule on this - so many sq. in. per btu of heater size and installed one at a high elevation in the room, one at a low elevation and at opposite sides of the room. Have a qualified tech inspect and correct the ignition problem. k
