i believe you trouble is ..........sand...you have to get every little piece of sand off the o-ring and the groove...good luck Also make sure you are using approved Lube. Vaseline can cause a ring to loose its form and cause leaks.
There is also the possibility that the lid is warped from age.
Backwash valve is leaking by. More than likely it is a bad oring inside the valve. Or it was not place back into recirc mode completely. or you may have a leak on the return side of the filter. That includes all the plumbing from the filter or heater to the pool. The back wash valve may be obvious if the waste line ends close by. The back wash valve should be placed in the "filter" mode not the "recirculation" mode. K
There are two reasons i know of . first the oring in the piston is either cut or twisted. The other is that the o ring on the piston is to small. The only cure is to replace it either way.
Nicole Oring was born on January 19, 1977, in Seoul, South Korea.
spark plug is lose or oring is missin off plug try changing the plug and make sure its tight but dont over tighten it
fuel filter is located on top of engine you will see a round black or brown plastic top on filter housing to change filter, unscrew this top lift the filter out insert new filter apply new O'ring to lid, this usually comes in box with new filter. make sure before removing old oring, u note which way it goes back on th lid .the oring has a flat surface on one side so make sure you know whic way it goes on or filter housing will leak fuel screw top back onto filter housing,do not ovet tighten start engine cheak for leaks
Yes it is. I am not sure why it is there, but if you unscrew the bottom of it there will be a filter element in there. Autozone or Napa etc lists that filter as well. I had lots of issues with mine and getting the oring to seal again. I think it was due to a cheap quality replacement filter.
I have run 10w40 in both my 95 VT1100 and my 07 VTX1300. just be sure to change the filter too and make sure the oring gasket on the filter is set correctly in the end of the filter. Lube the ring just like you would a car oil filter. I run Valvoline or Honda oil when on sale.
You need to make sure that there is not a o-ring stuck on the engine block from the old filter. sometimes the old gasket will stick to the engine block when you change the oil filter and it will leak everytime. If you don't find the problem there, then you will need to ask your question again.
The fuel pump is located inside your fuel tank.In order to repair or replace the components the fuel tank has to be removed.A short list of items normally replaced are the fuel pump, strainer which is a fuel filter that attaches to the pump,a new lock ring, and a oring for the lock ring.I could elaborate more but these are the general items. To do this takes about 2-3 hours with the proper tools, and know how.

fuel filter is a strainer ( screen) in the tank- I just removed the filter pump regulator assy. from my 2000 wrangler with 112000 mi - what a disapointment. the engineers obviously had no practical education. the oring and plastic tube that connect the regulator to the pump are worn out. this lets the pressure in the fuel line leak out and causes hard starting- only fix is a new pump assy, 235.00 rockauto.com
