check your thermostat, it may be blocked. Your water pump is pulling water from the radiator but none is coming out of the engine so you have a vacuum. This most probably means that you are low on coolant as well.

It is between the battery and upper radiator hose where it comes out of the radiator.
If your truck is overheating!!! Then check the upper radiator and lower radiator hose's , if the lower is cooler the the upper the either the thermostat is not opening or the radiator is clogged

Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the top of the engine. There will be 2 bolts once you have drained the radiator you can remove these bolts that hold the waterneck housing down lift it up, and there will be the thermostat. Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine. The thermostat will be located behind the thermostat housing at engine end of upper radiator hose. Drain some coolant into a clean container. Remove upper radiator hose from thermostat housing. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the thermostat housing to engine. Remove thermostat housing. Remove thermostat. Be sure to install the new thermostat facing in the same direction as the old one was.
Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine. The thermostat will be located behind the thermostat housing at engine end of upper radiator hose. Drain some coolant into a clean container. Remove upper radiator hose from thermostat housing. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the thermostat housing to engine. Remove thermostat housing. Remove thermostat. Be sure to install the new thermostat facing in the same direction as the old one was.
