The most likely cause is that the synchromesh is worn on second gear, if this is the case it's a box out and repair job.

Probably a matter of where the engine's power band is set out, or you may simply be bogging the engine down at lower speeds. Try downshifting and keeping your RPMs up a little.
Take the transmission out of overdrive. I believe there is a button right on the gear shift to do this with.
Power loss and downshifting could be a fouled plug. There may also be a problem with the oxygen censor this would explain the loss of power.
