Might need new break pads *** The grinding indicates that the brake pads are gone and you are using metal to stop your wheels. If the brake pads are not replaced you will ruin your hubs. Not to be nasty, but "breaking" usually means to, at least partly, destroy something. If mechanical things "break", they often grind together.

You probably mean "braking", or applying the brakes to slow a car down. The brakes work by forcing a part connected to the wheel against a part connected to the frame. When these parts get worn, they grind together instead of operating smoothly.

You could have serious consequences, if the brakes lock up on one side it could cause steering problems. If both sides lock up, you could stop so suddenly that you might be hit from behind.

Please have a competent person look at your brakes, soon. Right away! Be safe out there.

You heard a grinding noise when you would turn and you filled up with power steering fluid but you still hear this noise - What could this be?

I would guess that it is the wheel bearing. is it a grumbling sound or an all out grinding? If it is or was a grumbling sound and has turned into a grinding it is probably the wheel bearing.

Why would my car make a grinding noise when i start it and after running for a bit the grinding noise becomes slower?

Don't ignore that kind of sound. Find out what is causing it and replace or repair the faulty part. A "grinding noise" can be caused by an alternator, water pump, idler pulley, heater fan motor, air pump or any of a long list of components, many of which can cause some serious problems if they seize or come apart.

What noise would a bad inner cv joint make?

It could make a grinding type noise when moving slow. A "whirrr" type whine when moving faster. The grinding noise may change to a clunking noise when turning the wheel. Any of these noises means "fix me now or else."
