There may be some worn gears/bearings in the transmission, but more likely it's the aligning bushing in the clutch disk.
AC Compressor clutch relay may be stuck. Remove the relay and see if the clutch releases.
A car is in gear when the clutch is engaged on the transmission
There are three common problems which are causing your car to stall when the clutch is engaged. These problems are either a worn out clutch plate, a warped pressure plate or disc, or a damaged throw out bearing.
When two people are in a relationship and are soon to be married, they are engaged. Also, it means that something is in the ready position, such as the clutch of a car is engaged.
No ned to. Unless clutch is engaged (AC on) it freewheels-using no power.
Difficulty shifting, can't reach first gear and grinds to reverse, have to stomp on the brakes to downshift, basically any sort of unusual difficulty with shifting, car jumps forward when clutch is engaged or moves while on a flat surface and clutch is engaged.
CLutch is buggered or might just be the clutch cable
Hey Renee==I think you mean engaged. Disengaged would mean the car wouldn't move. I think probably the clutch disc is installed backward. GoodluckJoe
rattle (car noise) = nekisha (נקישה)
If the car judders as it pulls away but the problem goes away after a while the discs are contaminated with water. If the car judders as it pulls away always, its contaminated with oil, suspect a leaking engine seal/gland.if the car overrevs as it pulls away and there is a burning smell, the clutch is burnt out.If the car is in gear but doesnt pull away. The clutch is burnt out.If the car is a manual shift and it creeps if thebrake is off and the car is in gear and the clutch is engaged. Check the clutch adjustment.
if there is a clutch adjustment on car, adjust the clutch if no adjustment, you will shortly need to replace the clutch
Yes...it's a safety feature....so there is no surging in case the car was in gear and the starter was engaged.
