You would also have to change the intake manifold, with the heads. I feel compelled to advise you, you are going backwards in technology, thus less performance, and mileage. The newer heads flow better. However, I understand the need to get on the road cheaply, so if you use the older intake, yeah, you could do it.
That's what should be on it.
lt1 is a 350
Doesn't work in what way, exactly?
Chevy didn't make a 306. A 302, 305, and 307, all of which will work just fine.
The only difference between the two Chevy heads is the size of valve they were designed to fit. Either size will work correctly on all valves, though.
NO. And it won't work in the place of the 97 350 vortec.
Yes the block should work fine but make sure the water passages in the heads line up. That is as long as your camaro came with a v8 otherwise it will need a bit more.
Answer The 86 Chevy block and the 87 Chevy block are the exact same block, nothing changed, it will fit perfectly.yes
If the intake mates up with the heads. then yes. Mating depends on the year of heads.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It will require bigger injectors and matching ECM however to run optimally.
As long as The Engine is The same that the trasmission was on before then yes it will work.
NO.
Start with the lack of freon.
