An answer from our community: From the Prophets Moses (Judaism), to Jesus the Messiah (Christianity), and to Muhammad saw (Islam), the message was ever consistent, that man must believe in One Trancendent God. Moses said it in the "10 Commandments", Christ said it - "Israel, your Lord is One God".. emphasizing what his predecessor said. And this was also the message of the Prophet Muhammad, as is clear in the "Kalimah"
I would'nt say that Islam will rule the world as the Muslims would want it, but true Iman will always rule. And Iman is found in anyone of the above, whether Jews, Christians, or Muslims, as long as they believe in One God and do His commands.
The Prophets are brothers, and so are we.
Another answer:
According to The Bible... the day is coming when Jesus Christ will return to the earth and abolish all of man's governments and religions... and He will be established as King of kings and Lord of lords.
"...out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." (Rev.19:15-16)
"...and the Lord shall be KING OVER ALL THE EARTH: in that day there shall be one Lord, and His name One." (Zech.14:9)
"And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up FROM YEAR TO YEAR (during His thousand year rule) TO WORSHIP THE KING, the Lord of Hosts, and TO KEEP THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES." (Zech.14:16)
All the religions of men presently in the world will be outlawed in that day. For the nations will then know and see their Creator... and worship and obey Him.
The question is asking us to predict the future, usually a risky thing to do. Some may say yes, while others may say that Jesus will return before that happens. Yet others are more optimistic and practical than either view, believing that in the end democracy will prevail.
Not only do I not think that Islam will rule the world, I think that all religions will decline in importance. No doubt there will always be a core of Muslim believers, just as there will be a core of Christian believers, Buddhists and so on, but they will cease to have such dominance over their fellows that they can dictate that all must follow religious laws.
According to biblical prophecies, especially in the Book of Revelations, the answer is No. The prophecy of a rising 'king of the South' believed by many biblical scholars to be the Muslim world, will strike against the 'king of the North' also believed to be the European nations. This will cause the northern kings to enter into the Middle East and completely destroy all and take the territory.
Nothing in Islam rules this.
