The wiper motor is mounted on the left inside of the windshield frame on the same bracket as the VIN. Fold down the windshield and is fully accessible.
The 1991-2002 Ford Escort takes 20" drivers side and 18" passenger side replacement windshield wiper blades on the front and if applicable, a 14" rear wiper blade.

If windshield wipers are stuck in position and won't move, I would say that the windshield wiper motor needs replacing. This happened to me last year.
There isn't one. the headlight wiper system will come on if the headlights are on and you hit the windshield washer button.
the windshield wiper motor could be getting Hot! Mine does the same thing, then when it cools off they work again.

The windshield needs to be folded into the down position to access the wiper motor. There are a couple cut-outs in the metal of the cowl that allows access to the wiper motor & linkage. There are release bolts on either side of the windshield & of course the top needs to be off.
