Unfortunately these are not interchangeable. The 1993 model was a complete retooling of the 626, a bad one at that....the 1991 had an excellent transmission, the 1993 through 1998 were all terrible. In theory, you could retrofit, but that would be expensive.
it is cheaper to buy a rebuilt transmission than to have one rebuilt
In a 1991 Ford Ranger : It depends on which 5 speed manual transmission you have The Mitsubishi ( transmission code " D " ) takes ( 2.4 U.S. quarts of 80-90W gear lube ) The Mazda ( trans code " M " ) takes ( 2.8 quarts of MERCON automatic transmission fluid )

where do you add manuel transmission fluid on a 1991 geo storm 5 speed
The transmission in the 1991 Chevy Caprice is a 4 speed automatic with overdrive. This transmission is found in both the base and classic trims.
On a 1991 Ford Ranger , 5 speed manual transmission : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have the Mitsubishi made 5 speed manual transmission ( code " D " ) it takes ( 2.4 U.S. quarts of 80-90W gear lube ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have the Mazda made 5 speed manual transmission ( code " M " ) it takes ( 2.8 U.S. quarts of MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
A manual 5-speed transmission from a 1995 Chevy 4x4 will not fit in a 1991 Chevy manual 5-speed transmission. The two engines vary in some specifications which makes them incompatible.Ê
i have a 1996 Mazda protege and it is at the rear of the transmission if you're looking from the front drivers side. it is almost directly under the throttle position sensor which is located on the rear of your throttle body close to the firewall (almost directly in the center of the engine compartment).
1987 to 1992 uses the same 5 speed manual transmission in the gas models
You dont add transmission fluid to a 5 speed, you use geer oil.
Mazda recommends 75w-90 weight oil for the manual transmission, changed at 30,000 mile intervals. See http://www.miata.net/garage/maint.html for more information
No, the 2003 manual transmission will not fit a 1991 Ranger.
