NO it will not. You would need the heads off the vortec engine to make it all work. The 96 that you are talking about should be a VORTEC engine already from the factory. But you may have an early 96 and that is why it is a TBI engine. That was the year they switch to a vortec. 96 TBI no such animal,TBI OBD2 no
Regardless of the block, you have to use Vortec heads to use a Vortec intake.
LT1 gen 2 to LS1 gen 3 no
you can as long as you use your TBI heads if you want to use the vortec heads with TBI you will need a special intake manifold or a carb manifold with a adapter to mount your throttle body to the carb manifold heres some more info TBI heads will mount to the vortec block TBI intake manifold has 12 bolts vortec intake manifold has 8 bolts
The heads will fit the block, but the vortec intake manifold will not bolt to the old style heads.
Into the heads only.
Yes , but you will need a tbi intake to fit vortec heads if you retain the 90 TBI fuel system.
Yes the heads will, But the problem is that the vortec intake won't bolt up to the pre- 90 heads. DIFFERENT BOLT PATTERN.
yes ,I have change one out with a old 350 it had lot more power . I used the old heads to with vortec intake you have to slot the four bolt holes .but it will work.
it will work I have vortec heads on a 72 400 small block, I had to get the heads reworked for the 400s water ports or steam port and a vortec type style intake will be needed
no you cant this is a different style and requires that style of head
no the vortec is faster
The throttle body intake will not bolt to the Magnum engine block.
