Yes, the engine in a 2000 Escort is NOT an interference engine.
As far as I know the 2000 Ford Escort sedan has a SOHC engine rated at ( 114 horsepower ) and the Ford Escort ZX2 has a DOHC - Zetec engine rated at ( 130 horsepower ) * both engines are 2.0 liters in size *
do I have to lower the engine to replace the water pump ona 2000 ford focus zetec engine
According to Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) The SOHC engine IS AN INTERFERENCE ENGINE The DOHC engine is NOT an interference engine in the 2000 Ford Focus
The Ford Escort was originally called "The World Car". It made it's debut in 1981. Ford continued to make the Escort until the year 2000. When 2000 rolled around it began to phase it out by replacing it with the Focus.
The fuel pump relay on a 2000 Ford Escort is located under the hood in the engine compartment. It is in the fuse box.
No
In a 2000 Ford Escort ( for North America ) It has a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine * either the Dual Over Head Cam or the Single Over Head Cam version
Where is the temp sensor on 2000 ford focus zetec engine
The 2000 Ford Focus Owner Guide shows : with engine oil filter change : ( 3.78 liters ) for the SPI engine ( 4.25 liters ) for the ZETEC engine
if you have the ztech dohc (dual overhead cam) motor it has 16 valves. The cheap soch (single overhead cam) ford put into the focus has 8 valves. this motor has the same displacement as the doch, but it is easier to work on. at the same time it is less efficient, and slower.
On a Ford Focus : The transaxle ( transmission ) is in the engine compartment , bolted to the engine , on the drivers side of the engine compartment
