No, you can not swap between EGR and non EGR engines.
yes it does works just fine thank you 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 non egr heads transplanted to my 2005 Jeep gc 4.7 block that had an egr on the back of the left side head plugged the port on the intake plugged the egr into the harness and it ran perfect right off the bat sure it threw a code within the first 100 miles but didnt change how its performed from the git go. havent had any issues with it and ive put 3000 miles on it since then except the check engine light stays on thats an easy fix though so yes it will work.
oh forgot one thing i used the cam gear from the junk 2005 4.7 egr heads on the 2000 4.7 heads
