Sorry but you are out of luck without some major fabrication. Your Avenger is a FWD vehicle with small 6cyl or 420a 4cyl. The 2jz is for RWD vehicles. You would have to cut a channel for the trans and have some massive fab work. If your looking for more power just turbo the 420a or look for a blower for the 6cyl. I have seen avengers with both mods done. Thanks.
2jz-gte inline 6 3.0l twin turbo or the 2jz-ge inline 6 3.0l naturally aspirated
mark 4 supra, Lexus gs300, Lexus sc300 and Lexus is300
best supra motor is the 2JZ-GTE was factory in 1993-1998 Toyota supra twin turbo, was also the fastest and lighter than its predecessors...
Its an in-line 6 engine produced by the manufacturer Toyota. This engine usually comes in the 98 Toyota supra.
the Mark IV supra (the latest one) has a 2jz, which has 2,997 cc
If it's the same as the 97 Supra: 2JZ-GE engine: With filter 5.2L Without filter 4.9L 2JZ-GTE engine With filter 5.0L Without filter 4.7L
The Toyota Supra RZ (sometimes GZ) is the Japanese version of the Toyota Supra. It comes equipped with a naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE producing 220 hp at 5800 rpm and 210 ft·lb at 4800 rpm of torque and a twin turbo 2JZ-GTE making 280 hp and 318 ft·lb of torque.
You simply need........ TO GET A LIFE!!! And T.P is a bender... just for the record ^Whoever typed that is a dumb jackass. Yes the 2jz drops right in some people use 1jz heads on a 2jz block but its not proven to make a difference and its only convenient if you have a 1jz just lying around. the 2jz swap can be expensive though check out some of the supra forums online they're very helpful
2jz swap, hands down the best choice.
yes it will, u have to do a full engine swap and get all the parts for it
The Japanese version of the Supra was badged as an RZ or GZ. The 0-60 time for the turbo model was 5.1 seconds (twin turbocharged 2JZ-GTE making 280 hp and 318 ft·lb of torque) for the Japanese version. The 0-60 time for the Natural Aspirated model was 6.5 (a naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE producing 220 hp at 5800 rpm and 210 ft·lb at 4800 rpm).-Supra Turbo RZ 0-60= 5.1 seconds-Supra Naturally Aspirated 0-60= 6.5 seconds
You are only slightly right, in the states there was the 7MGTE (single turbo) from 86.5-92..... then the 2jz came about in the mk4 which had the TT option later on. but to answer the ? about the twin turbo supra in 1992 they made a TT model in japan the engine code is 1JZGTE it is a 2.5ltre twin turbo 87-92 which in my opinion is and awesome motor , they also had the 7mgte in earlier models of the mk3 the 1992 supra came with a single turbo and not a twin turbo. the twin turbo came to-be a year later in the 1993 MKIV generation supra.
