Contact an auto wrecker or dealer for transmission applications. Ford made many changes to these transmissions.

Down the same tube that holds trans dipstick. Use a trans funnel, long, flexible and correct size.

Ford Motor Company makes Fords, Lincolns & Mercurys. The Mercury Sable is the same car as a Ford Taurus, just different names and a little different trim. they use the same parts.

depends on what your changing. all ford parts have a stamping # on it ie iac motor e9se-9f715-aa if its the same them yes if its differen then rule of thumb is no

Yes, the Ford 2.6, 2.8, 2.9 and 4.0 all share the same bolt pattern.

It depends on what Taurus you have, the 1990-1995 Ford Taurus' use the AXOD and the AXOD-E transmissions. The 1996-2003 Ford Taurus' use the AX4S and some models even use the AX4SN transmissions. I have looked at some info on the Ford Windstar and they sould work, some Windstars use the same transmissions as the Ford Taurus, I think they use the same transmissions as the Taurus from 1993-2000.

yes only of they have the same engines. there should be no problems.

Yes, all Ford Taurus lug bolt patterns are the same 1986-2007.

You mean a 1992 Taurus SHO... yes all the MTX transmissions are the same from 1989 to 1995. the regular Ford Taurus does not have a standard transmission.

Depending on the car model let's say a Mazda mx6 and ford probe have the same engine and trans configurations from yrs 93-97 plus suspension components brakes fuel tanks also the mx3 has the same motor but only in v6 form some millenias also have some compatible motor n trans configurations

It will fit in the same year Taurus and Sable, nothing else.

Of course Idiot, they are the same vehicle just made 2 years apart.

I'd be willing to be 1 dozen glazed doughnuts that these alternators ARE the same.

Yes. However the motors and transmissions need to be the same. Mercury Sables and Ford Tauruses share the same powerplant. So, if you have a 3.0L OHV V6 12V Vulcan motor then any Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable with the 3.0L OHV V6 12V Vulcan motor can supply you with a transmission. However, if you have a 3.0L DOHC V6 24V Duratec motor, you MUST use a transmission from a Duratec motor. There are also 2 different transmissions, the AX4S and the AX4N. They are not directly interchangeable, and would require a full PCM change as well as axleshafts. The best choice would be to select a vehicle with the same motor and transmission for a trouble free drop in replacement, but it can come from either a Sable or Taurus without any issues.

If the engines are the same, and the exaust parts look the same, then it should work.

The bolt pattern on the 1996 Taurus to 2004 Taurus is the same , its 5 on 4 and 3/4, so it will fit.

First determine the problem Remove door panel to see if power is getting to motor--if so motor is bad--if not could be switches or wiring to same

Yes, they should be compatible. Unless you talking about interior parts there may have been some mirror upgrades. Both the 93' and 95' Taurus' are from the same model generation.

If you mean front strut, yes, they are the same. Rear are different between wagon and sedan.

2 motor mounts and one transmission mount. You should change them all. They usually all go bad arount the same time.

More than likely it would. Check to make sure the engines are the same size and it should fit.

As long as the motors are the same you should be good.
