If you are a good welder, and know how to use a torch you could put a 305 Chevy v8 with Tranny. It just how much time, money, and fit and finish you want to spend on it.
This is an engine swap and will require engineering mounts, drive shafts, computers and wiring.
The transmission is bolted to the engine. The engine sits sideways, as compared to an older rear wheel drive car. the trans is on the left (drivers side) of the engine compartment.
it prevents you from starting the engine while the transmission is in either DRIVE or REVERSE
4l60e which is a over drive fits from 1993 to 1998 note when changing transmission flush out transmission side of radiator you do not want to contaminate your new transmission
Electronic controls are in the ECU and on the transmission. Mechanical controls are on the steering column and attached to the transmission via a cable in a sheath.
no, because you cant put a front wheel drive into a rear drive because of the transmission...it wont mount in
back right corner of engine.
In park, the transmission is in neutral: very little "load" on the engine. In drive, the engine is loaded somewhat by being in gear. Therefore, any engine performance issues will be exaggerated. Of coarse, engine performance issues could mean just about anything!
No, the rear section is different.
yes it is a rear wheel drive Automatic transmission
a blown transmission
It depends on weather its 4x4 or 2 wheel drive there are 8 0n 4x4 and 6 on 2 wheel drive
