if the year of the car is the same, then it should fit.
before 92 and aftr 92 were two different fittings so have a check. i have a pulsar gtir steering on my 1.4 and it wrks and fits fine. so if your car is post 92, then the steering should come from a post 92 car also. other cars that also fit include the primera, 100nx, terrano and 100nx. although the primera sits a bit close to the column stalks.
The alignment is miss-set or the front suspension and steering is damaged, OR the steering coloum is broken or damaged
get a wire diragram for you vehicle, locate the wires, usually on your firewall, under the dash beween your pedles and the steering coloum. match wires, connect soder and tape!
I belivie it is located IN the steering coloum, on the bottom side.
It is behind the plastic panel that is under the steering wheel on the lower right side...Not easy to get to...you have to remove the panel then the steering coloum covers then a the large steel plate that is under the collum then the right side mounting bracket for the plate you just took off and finaly, there it is...The Flasher Unit is Nissan Part # 25731 1M200... Remove cowling from under the steering wheel, remove the two nuts holding the wheel coloum. Drop the steering coloum. Ignition switch is about a foot down on the left side. Unhook the wires remove switch replace. P.S. Unhook battery cables high voltage in ignition system.
do you have the electronic anti-thieft key inserted in the dash. this is located just to the left of the steering coloum
multi switch on steering coloum is wearing out
you should be able to the shaft inside the coloum is pretty much the same on all cars this how you can buy custom steering wheels for cars. it should work.

remove the shroud covering the steering coloum and turn the key to the on position push in release pin over ignition and pull cylinder out.
make sure you put the switch in right side up and made sure you are pushing in the release button on the steering coloum -left side and make sure there is no pressure on the steering wheel from the steering box, hope this helps
