correct answer is: the crack will allow air to enter the manifold and this air will make the oxygen sensor say engine is lean. then the ECU WILL force very rich fuel injections. very bad. fix all exhaust leaks on EMS engine pronto. BAD gas mileage too ! very bad. yes this condition will destroy the CAT,but the cat is a victim only. Check the catalytic converter ! Maybe stopped up & pressuring out exhaust manafold crack !
In the exhaust manifold behind the engine. In the exhaust manifold behind the engine.
In the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine. In the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine.
The intake manifold is where the air and fuel mix and enter the engine. The exhaust manifold is where unspent gas and air exit the engine. In other words the intake manifold is where the engine breathes in and the exhaust manifold is how the engine exhales out.
exhaust manifold is where exhaust pipe hooks to engine!
No, The 1998 Suzuki Sidekick has an interference engine. The belt must be replaced every 60,000 miles.
Front of the engine, just below the exhaust manifold.Front of the engine, just below the exhaust manifold.
Front of the engine, just below the exhaust manifold.Front of the engine, just below the exhaust manifold.
The exhaust manifold is the header that starts at the piping on the driver's side of the engine and runs back out to the exhaust.
Routes exhaust gases out of engine bay
exhaust pipe connects to the exhaust manifold, which connects to the main engine.
The exhaust manifold needs to have a gasket in place to help seal the juncture between the manifold and the engine. After the gasket and gasket sealer are in place, tighten the bolts for the exhaust manifold. The exhaust pipe can then be replaced on the new exhaust manifold.

Exhaust manifold on the front of the engine, exhaust manifold on the rear of the engine and another down stream by the catalyst.
Depends on the Engine you have. On the 4.2L I6 Engine the Exhaust manifold is located on the passanger side of the Engine. It is mostly covered by a heat sheild, but its pretty easy to see when youfollow the exhaust pipe up to the engine.
Four cylinder, it is on the back of the engine under the exhaust manifold. Six cylinder it is on the front of the engine, below the exhaust manifold.
On the front and rear of what?? The Air Intake Manifold is on the TOP of the engine. the Exhaust Manifold are on the sides of an engine. On a front wheel drive vehicle, the engine is turned 90 degrees, so the exhaust manifold appears to be on the front and back of the engine, below the valve covers.
The front exhaust manifold is right in front by the spark plugs. The rear manifold is behind the engine by the spark plugs.
Four cylinder, rear of engine, below exhaust manifold. Six cylinder, front of engine, below exhaust manifold.
The exhaust manifold is the collection of pipes bolted directly to the engine head. It carries the burnt exhaust fume out of the engine to the catalytic converter and then through the muffler and out the tail pipe.
1 of 1 oxygen is the one screwed into the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine.1 of 1 oxygen is the one screwed into the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine.
have you checked to see if there is any broken bolt on the manifold, or worped manifold, burnt manifold gasket
The intake manifold routes the fuel/air mixture to the cylinders or just the air on a modern fuel injected engine. The exhaust manifold routes the burnt fuel gases out of the engine into the exhaust system.
Intake manifold on top and exhaust manifold on the side.
A manifold leak is usually in reference to a failure of the intake manifold gasket. It can leak air, oil or coolant. It can leak to the outside of the engine or internally into the engine. A manifold leak may also refer to the Exhaust manifold that is leaking exhaust fumes from a bad gasket or a crack in the manifold.
The intake manifold is on the top center of the engine. The exhaust manifolds are on the front and rear of the engine.
