personally i recently introduced a 6 month old turtle to the troupe,
my larger female of 7 years can be very rough and tried to bite Him/her i would see how they go and keep you have on you larger turtle whilst introducing them,
my smaller male of 4 years seems very protective over my smaller one.
No, only female red eared sliders lay eggs.
Yes, they will happily eat the eggs wether it was theirs or not.If you are breeding them it is best to leave the female with her eggs and put the male in a different enclosure.
about 30
All turtles need to have mated in order to lay eggs, unlike birds who will lay infertile eggs, turtles won't.
Their eggs are hard. Since ALL EGGS are hard
No need to care for it. There are already enough red eared sliders in the world.
usally the mama red-eared slider just lays her eggs and leaves them all alone but if a red eared slider is kept in captivity the mama takes care of the baby until the baby shows its mama that it can stand on its own two feet which is usally 2-3 months after it is hatched.
Greenish-Brownish-Yellowish (Guacamole Color)
Not many usually. the most they usually lay is about 5 or 6.
It won't harm the turtle - but the eggs should be removed from the water as soon as possible.
anywhere from two to twenty times per breeding season
Depends on what size she is
