no completely different motor
Yes, They are the same. GM uses the same parts for Pontiac and Chevy, although the carb may be different therefore the carb from the Pontiac will not always work with a Chevy.
start with center bolts and work your way out in a circular patternaltenating from side to side
the sequence is the two center bolts on each side, the work your way outwards
it is located under intake manifold between engine and fire wall center of the motor. You have to remove intake to really see and work on it. It is a black plastic box with a shaft coming out of it with a flat blade on it that has a teeter tooter action, on the end of that part is small rods that connect to back of the motor.
Yes you can but you will need to modify the bolt holes in the intake manifold. The TBI intake 4 center bolts, 2 on each side will not line up with the heads. Must drill them out just a little.
Sure ... once you replace the intake manifold and distributor it's just a gasoline powered motor at that point. The only issue you might have is with the motor mounts.
We have had several 4.3L engines at work develop coolant leaks from the intake manifold gaskets failing.
No it will not. The bolt patteren is different on the intake and heads. Won't work.
Yes, if you use the right intake manifold. But, if the 7.5 is factory fuel injected you're better off not using the Holley. Just get bigger injectors and a bigger air intake.
You need to replace the manifold and use Felpro Gaskets.
