Squats will do surprisingly little for your bum. The best way to get a nice rear is to diet, in which case you should be asking a different question. Of course, once you've gotten rid of that stubborn bum fat, you can rely on squats only to do a slight amount of toning. After all, you see sprinters looking good, but cross country runners can be as well formed as your granny. Hold some bottles of water or bags of sugar (just don't eat the latter), and that should make all the difference.
Another person: I have been doing all types of butt exercises and can tell you this much. It WILL help increase it's size and roundness if you try different types of exercises. Squats, Lunges, rear leg lifts etc... And eat a lot of protein and try space 72 hours in between the butt workouts. They have done wonders for me, they should for you too. Also, some weight resistance would help a lot.
Doing squats helps alot.
Yes doing squats will make the rear end bigger. There are also other exercises that will make the rear end bigger such as hip thrusts and glute bridges.
Do bodyweight exercises such as chins, push-ups, and squats. .
You can do single leg squats by placing one leg back on a chair or weight bench and squat down with one leg. It works just as well as doing both legs with some weight. Good balance is needed, so be careful.
corn bread girll (:Eating more fat. If you mean more MUSCULAR, than doing squats and lunges.
well you start out building your leg muscles by doing squats and jumping squats.... i started doing back flips on a trampoline than i started doing it off of stuff like walls and stuff that's like four feet of the ground
Squats are as much of a hamstring and quad excersize as the would be for the butt. try lunges instead of squats. you may find they work your desired area more effectively.
You could do a series of squats several times per day, gradually increasing the number of squats in each interval (say 10, then 15, then 20) and the frequency of each interval. Even if you regularly do squats, depending on your genetics, you may not ever get the size butt you want... but, squats will certainly help!
Just eat a lot of protein and start doing lunges and squats to build muscle in your body
Continue doing them it will pay off.
Squats would probably be the best way to strengthen it, but running can also strengthen your leg muscles. If your going for pure muscle without weight loss I say doing squats would produce the most benefits.
when doing squats, go all the way down, don't stop at 90 degrees. it may take a while, but it works!
