YOUR WASTING PEPPER. It won't work. Replace the radiator.
Ground Black Pepper will, in deed, stop a small radiator leak. I've done it many times. I've NOT experienced any bad effects from doing this. If (when) leaks persist, it is time for a new radiator.
A good stop leak product for a radiator is the Bar's line of stop leak. It comes in an easy to pour bottle which seeks out leaks and seals them in minutes.
You can use Radiator Stop Leak as a quick temporary fix.
change th radiator
Barr's Stop Leak is a brand of radiator repair chemicals. Barr's Stop Leak is poured in the radiator and the engine is run at an idle for a few minutes. It will repair small leaks like those that happen if a rock strikes the radiator.
I have used radiator stop leak before in my 1996 Olds Achieva SC with the V6. I put it directly into the coolant resovor. It went in fine for me. This did not give me much help though. I would not recommend using stop leak. It will clog your heater core and then you will have more than the radiator as your problem. Fine a new radiator and replace it that is the best advidce i can give you.
A raw egg in to the tank.
You dont. -Mechanic
IF THE LEAK IS FROM THE RADIATOR, THERE IS NO FIX EXCEPT TRY THE RADIATOR STOP LEAK CANS OF FIX....IF THAT DON'T WORK, GET A NEW RADIATOR. THAT'S ALL YOU CAN DO!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Suggest using "Bars Leak" Anything else may plug up your radiator. Yes, but recognize that stop-leak in any form will only stop the problem temporarily. As the radiator heats and cools it also expands and contracts. Sooner or later, the stop-leak will fail. And it will probably be sooner than later.
First take off the Carborator. Then for a quick stop problem pour pepper into the oil tank, the pepper will expand and plug the leak. Sounds crazy but it works.
The only way that actually works is to change the radiator. "Radiator Stop Leak" products don't really stop anything, except maybe you being able to spend that $5 on a Big Mac or something.
The question is referring to pour in type cooling system sealers such as Stop-Leak. If the radiator itself is leaking Stop-Leak will likely come right out as it is designed for small seal and gasket sealing.
GET RADIATOR STOP LEAK AT THE STORE. $5 IT WORKS UNLESS THE HOLE IS BIG. JOSE
In order to stop leaks on a convertible it is important to find out the source of the leak. For example, if the leak is coming from the radiator the common fix for that is to have the radiator replaced. A certified mechanic would be able to locate the leak and provide a quote on the cost to fix the leak.
Please advise where the radiator cap is located on a 1994 ford thunderbird. I have to add a stop leak product to stop antifreeze leak and I cannot locate the cap.
radiator leak. try adding " leak stop"
black pepper works better than any chemical. Use Thermogasket it is guaranteed, I am sure black pepper is not. Go to www.rxauto.com
Yes. It also depending on what kind of stop leak and how much is used.
Read the directions on the container of stop leak. There are many stop leak products out there. Keep in mind that this is a temperary fix at best. I suggest that you do not. It causes more harm than good.
It depends - if the leak is small, just put a bottle of Barr's stop leak in the radiator - make sure you follow the directions. It works great on small leaks.
