a 350 is a small block those heads will fit on and Chevy SMALL block not a big block
block and heads are the same but not the computers
you can as long as you use your TBI heads if you want to use the vortec heads with TBI you will need a special intake manifold or a carb manifold with a adapter to mount your throttle body to the carb manifold heres some more info TBI heads will mount to the vortec block TBI intake manifold has 12 bolts vortec intake manifold has 8 bolts
Sandwiched between the heads and the engine block.
the vortec block and heads were introduced in late 1995 but actual vortec motor started coming in vehicles in 1996
No, but if the 96 has the 5.7 Vortec engine then it will have different heads which give it more power. ETA Question: Can I put the '96 vortec heads and intake on the '93 engine? You will need a vortec specific manifold. Edelbrock makes one
NO you can not. It is all together different.
Backside, center of engine block right below the intake manifold.
i believe that any 454 bbc head will bolt up to any 454 Block. But some heads are beter then others. I would find out the specs of the head before installing.
yes but most 96 engines had vortec heads and intake manifold which are way better and if its fuel injected you might have some driveability problems it will still run but might not run smoothly
the block and heads should be the same, but the manifolds will be diferent.
The starter is located under the intake manifold. It is in the VALLEY between the cylinder heads. Under the hood Under the hood
The starter is under the intake. Disconnect battery. Take intake bolts loose and lift it up on passenger side. Prop it up with wood block and unbolt starter and replace.
