same problem I have.I think throtle position sensor and speed sensor can cause thise problem.try first any adjustment on throtle sensor then speed sensor. may be both wear out.
A faulty ABS speed sensor can give you those symptoms. Just to eliminate the possibility, remove the ABS fuse and take it for a test drive. If the problem goes away you have found the problem.
It is quite possible that you have a dirty or clogged transmission filter screen, or fluid may need changed...or both. If this does not fix the problem, you may have a bad pump in the transmission or a problem in the torque converter. Try taking the car to a good mechanic to have fluid and filter changed....should'nt cost more than $75- $100. Caution: it is not recommended that transmission be pressure flushed at an oil change center. This could make the problem even worse or cause a complete failure.
Yes, you can, how far you will actually manage to drive it will depend on the fault with the transmission. You might only get half a mile before the transmission stops working. :)
when overdrive button is flashing, it is an indicater that there is a problem with your transmission. it may be a simple problem or it could be a major problem. take it to a transmission shop before you need to be towed into shop
I am not a transmission expert just a Rodeo Sport owner and this is the problem we had and to fix our problem it was the (Battery) not enough power going to computer to transmission which detected a short in the electrical to the transmission and to save the computer the car it shuts down the transmission, so get a new battery before taking it to transmission expert, might not cost as much as our experiment to detect the problem by the hour charge.
When one pass assembler constructing the object code, if it finds usage of the variables before the declaration then forward reference problem will occur. To avoid forward reference problem: i) Declare the symbols before using it ii) Use more than one pass assembler(multi pass assembler)
if the overdrive light is flashing, you have a problem in the transmission you need to take vehicle to a good transmission shop before you need to get towed in
If the transmission would not go into gear before changing the transmission fluid, then the fluid change was for naught. Hopefully you changed the filter in there, too. If the tranny was busted before the oil change, then simply changing the oil is not going to fix the problem.
Your transmission doesn't have an 02 sensor. The o2 sensor monitors engine exhaust to control engine performance. But, dirty transmission fluid is a problem and should be changed before it cause a major and very expensive transmission failure.
The transfer case shouldn't be a problem if it moves forward, reverse happens in the transmission before the transfer case. I would suggest that you have a transmission shop look at it, I tried removing my transmission once and ended up paying more to have someone else do the job. I have noticed that after parking my Blazer in this cold weather, my brakes seem to freeze up and it takes some power to get it moving after it has time to freeze up, and it bangs as it releases.
Yes, you can crack the transmission pan before damaging the transmission.
your transmission is shot, have it repaired before it stops going forward and leaves you stranded somewhere
Did yOu ever find the speed sensor? What was the problem befor changing it
