Yes the engines are exactly the same if they are of the same year
the only thing different would the internals of the trans the turbo trans is a heavy duty trans.
yes you can, but you will also have to change flywheel on engine to enable you to intall a clutch
there isn't a difference cause theres no such thing as a automatic or manual engine. there is such thing as a manual transmission aka trans. and a automatic trans. the automatic shifts by hydrolic pressure that increases when acclurating. and a manual trans the person driving the vehical shifts the gears with a lever. i hope that's what you wanted to know.
I was not wondering if a B18C engine will mate to my 1997 Civic manual transmission because I know it will not fit.
Depends on what engine you have v10 gas or 7.3 diesel? Auto trans or manual? If its the 7.3 diesel with auto trans its 250hp If its the 7.3 diesel with manual trans its 275hp if its the 6.8 v10 i believe its about 305hp
a manual trans uses sae- 10W-30 engine oil auto trans uses dextron lll fluid
Depending on what trans type. A manual trans has a fill plug on the side of the trans. And a auto has a dip stick which is located in the engine bay
On top of the trans close to the firewall and engine block. Look where the shift cables (manual trans) come out of the firewall.
auto trans fluid its crazy i know
www.mx6.com sign up there!! It can be done but at an extreme cost first you need the trans next you need an engine that came off a manual you cant use the engine that is on your auto
The Tranny will bolt up to the engine fine you just have to change all the components from manual to automatic (clutch, flexplate, flywheel, and all that jazz) Good Luck!
for manual trans. it is behind the steering wheel, for automatic it is on the left side of engine compartment near the engine.
