Changing spark plugs with the correct heat range plugs won't affect the running temperature of the engine. If you had a fouled ploug or otherwise inoperative plug and picked up a cylinder that wasn't operating before the plug change the engine might operate at a higher temperature that would be normal for the engine. If you used the wrong plugs for the engine or cross threaded them or crossed plug wires you might see an increase in temperature and feel a decrease in performance. How hot is your engine running?

Q: Would spark plugs cause my car to run hot. 1997 Chevy blazer. Changed them. runs hotter then normal. could the plugs do that to my car.?
