what are the vavle timing mark's for a 1994 Plymouth acclaim
where is the timing mark for Plymouth acclaim 1994 2.5 liter?
It is under the timing cover on a 3.0L
The timing belt on a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim is replaced by removing the engine accessories, removing the timing cover, and taking pressure off the idler pulley. The belt can then be slipped off the sprockets, a new belt put in place, and the tension restored.
Timing belt
On the transaxle(transmission) bell housing, on the driver's side. there should be a little window cut out on the top there are some notches there. That's the timing marks.
On the V6 it is inside the front of the engine, driven by the timing chain. On the four cylinder it is the lower front pulley on the motor.
On my 94, (same engine) the belt broke and when it was replaced (big job) it ran just fine.
Could be, Accelerator pump in carburetor is not working, (rebuild carb) Timing is off, (adjust timing) Vacuum advance not working, (replace vacuum advance unit) Points are in need of replacing or adjusting,
Air/fuel filter? Timing chain sloppy? Fuel pump?
install timing belt on 1993 Plymouth sundance
if you are referring to replacing the timing belts, there are settings tha must be set correctly as you are installing the belts.there are marks on the timing pulleys that must be set correctly or the cam and crank will not be timed correctly, and no matter what you do to timing after that it will never be right, unless thses are lined up correctly to start with
