Hi, can I first say that this is my experience and that you should see your doctor for a final verdict. Today I would have been 5wks pregnant, however 4 days ago I started experiencing what you have just described, some brown blood to start with and what looks like tissue/chunks, then red blood with tissue like discharge. I have just found out that my hcg levels are now 0 and I have miscarried. This is my 2nd miscarriage this year. I had already recognised some of my symptoms when they started such as the old blood turning red and the tissue so when I got the call I was prepared for the worst. I really hope everything is ok and you continue on with your pregnancy.
Same symptoms for my daughter who is having a D&C as I write. Doctors said there was a 99% chance that she had a molar pregnancy.
While many women who miscarry will start with only spotting, it is possible that the first sign of miscarriage can be heavy bleeding, possibly with clot or tissue passage.
Usually a miscarriage tissue is difficult to pull apart and can be a grey colour where veins are seen.
Spotting during pregnancy can occur about the time you would usually have a period. However, with a miscarriage there is more active bleeding and tissue is passed with abdominal cramping. Just spotting does not indicate a miscarriage.
Were you diagnosed as pregnant? If you were in fact pregnant and now started you period again you "did" have a miscarriage. In the early stages of pregnancy a miscarriage is not always going to have any major symptioms. Discharging tissue could be something else if you weren't pregnant. I would see a doctor if you continue to have such discharge in the future.
Absolutely. 1/3 of all pregnancies ends in miscarriage and there are usually no problem getting pregnant again.
This is difficult to say. You need to keep the tissue and take it to your doctor to be analysed incase it was a miscarriage.
No. Its uterine bleeding which indicates pregnancy has taken place, aka implantation bleeding. Tissue can alse be a bit of left over toilet paper which looks like vaginal tissue. But see your doctor to be sure.
They could be checking for any tissue that was not expelled during the miscarriage. They may be able to tell that you were pregnant depending on how long ago the miscarriage happened, and if anything was left behind.
See a doctor/go to the ER, A.S.A.P. Mild spotting during pregnancy is not uncommon but if it is heavy, dark, and/or you are clotting/passing tissue it is usally something serious like a miscarriage, etopic or molar pregnancy...
If you have any sort of line on the test result, it is regarded as positive. This long after a miscarriage, you would expect the hCG level that a test detects to not be present. There is the possibility that you are still pregnant from before, as babies can survive quite heavy bleeding and even have been known to survive D&Cs. Alternatively, you could be pregnant again, and conceived after the miscarriage. You should see your doctor, who can check to see if there is any tissue left behind from the last pregnancy, or if you are still or newly pregnant.
Unfortunately passing tissue is the main sign of a miscarriage seeing that I have been through two of them. The good thing is is that it will not effect getting pregnant again. I just had a miscarriage January 5, 2009, I went back for my check up and there was another sack. I was pregnant again!! Don't let it get you down too much what was ment to be will happen.... The best of luck to you:}
Well it wont be too big. You will probably have a small chunk of pink tissue come out through out your pubic area.
