Ok this is not very hard considdering the 1986 did not have fuel injection. find the computer and it will have a wire harness disconnect it, and you are done. Now take all the wires out from underneaath the hood by running them back through the fire wall and you are compltely finished
Well it's a little more complicated than that. I will assume you are saying the engine is the original computer controlled engine that came in the car. First of all...the engine is designed and calibrated to run with the computer and emissions. Once you start ripping things out that all changes. One of the biggest things you'll have to change is that computer controlled carb for a non comp carb. That would be bare minimum to get the thing to run right at all. It will run without it....but it'll be in limp home mode and will never run right. The other problem is the distributor. It is controlled by the computer also. You'll need to find a pre '81 distributor to swap out. There's a lot more to consider, but these are minimum things to take care of.

The trans speed senors are on the front of the trans. The ABS speed sensors are at each wheel bearing. The speedometer signal comes from the trans computer.
