Purcahse a shift rebuild kit, I did mine recently. Was not bad job and restored crisp shifting. Try www.germanautoparts.com , they seem good.
No, and all you'd do is tear up that transmission, anyhow.. it wasn't designed for the torque produced by the Cummins diesel.

you have a busted seal on the torque converter. does it come out of the little spout tube between the transmission and the motor?
Top of the transmission.. on a manual shift, it should be just behind and to the left of the shift column.

NO. The 95 transmission is a electronic / computer controlled transmission. The 1984 does not HAVE the electronics to make the 95 transmission work.

You fill the transmission fluid on the 1988 F250 diesel at the dipstick of the transmission. You will need a filler funnel in order to keep spillage to a minimum.
