What you're describing sounds like it could be swollen lymph nodes; there are several in your head and swelling of lymph nodes is not at all uncommon. If you've seen your doctor and he doesn't think there is anything to worry about, there probably isn't. It's impossible to diagnose such a thing over the internet, particularly with so little information, and your doctor is your best bet for reliable information. However, if you're still worried, you can always get a second opinion.
These are often just fatty lumps or cysts. Often you may have a genetic predisposition to them. They can be removed in the surgery, and usually they get bigger over time so it is a good idea to get them removed.
