Just had my turn signal switch replaced, for the second time, on my '98 Chevy Lumina. I paid $260 to a fairly trustworthy auto repair mechanic
The Chevy Impala (which closed out in 1996 along with sister Caprice) replaced the Lumina in 2001. Although it was assopsed to replace it in 2000 Chevy decided to keep it 1 more year. That final year sales plunged down to half of the previous. THEY STILL MAKE LUMINAS! But not in north america.

The alternator on a 95 Chevy Lumina 3.4l is replaced by disconnecting the wiring harness, loosening the retaining bolts, and removing the serpentine belt. The alternator can then be unbolted, removed, and a new alternator installed.
I just had mine replaced. It is located at the end of the top radiator hose on an LTZ model. I just had mine replaced. It is located at the end of the top radiator hose on an LTZ model.
