Remove Power Steering reservoir cap. Jack up front of car. With engine off, turn the steering wheel to the left and fill the reservoir to the full cold mark. Then slowly turn the wheel to the right all the way, and to the left all the way. This will bleed the air out of the system. It will take about 20 to 40 complete cycles. You might want to have an assistant to watch the level in the reservoir to make sure the level does not fall too low and suck in air. Don't let that happen or it will take longer to complete the task. Don't ram the wheel hard either, just go slow and steady. Once you have made the twenty or so cycles get your assistant to look in the reservoir with a flashlight and look for frothy oil or bubbles. The fluid should be clear with no bubbles in it. If you see bubbles keep bleeding by turning the steering wheel slowly all the way left and all the way right.
This should take care of any air in the system. Re check the fluid level then lower the car and go for a drive. Steering should be smooth and have no noises. If the power steering is making a howling or whining noise the pump is probably shot.
Have you checked the power steering pressure line?
If it's the larger hose(pressure hose) it has to be replaced as a unit. The smaller(return hose can be pieced together with a plastic barb.
you will find the fuel port behind your power steering pump.
