The 1997 Pontiac Trans Am 5.7 liter engine oil pressure switch can be found on top of the engine. The oil pressure switch will be near the intake manifold.
Firing is 1-3-4-2 on a 1986 celb with the 2.5L 4 Pontiac Iron Duke. The order is found on the intake manifold.
On my 99 Grand Prix 3.8 it's located below the rear exaust manifold on the engine block.
I have a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird with 2.0 four cylinder in it, just found the crank sensor on it, to replace it. It is located on the FRONT side of the engine, below exhaust manifold and just above the A/C compressor. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE ELSE!
Information on the Pontiac 400 can be found on Wikipedia. The 400 refers to the type of engine that is present in the car. Pontiac began production in 1926.
I've had the same problem with my car not starting after its ran out of gas. I've found that with my 01 Pontiac Grand Am that I have to have at least 4 gallons of gas in my car for it to start after its ran out of gas.
If this is the 2.8 v6 then the high idle is probably a vacuum leak. Check all vacuum lines for leaks and to verify that they are routed as the sticker on the deck lid shows. Check the EGR tube as these fail often and is most likely the cause. Also check throttle body and intake manifold gaskets. Spray parts cleaner on these areas while engine is idling; if the idle speed temporarily drops then you have found the leak!
Hi guys. Mechanic here. Yes, it will work. OTOH you are a bad person if you do it. Instead, you should fix the Fiero. If you fix the Fiero, the gods will bless you. If you cannibalize the Fiero to revive a Beretta, you will face eternal damnation. If you want to, you could always put the 2.8 in the Beretta to get a basic car going right away and then get a small-block conversion for the Fiero. That would not upset the car gods so much. == == ask a mechanic.
On an engine bolted to the intake manifold.
18 gallons found at http://www.new-cars.com/2003/pontiac/pontiac-aztek-specs.html
I found information that claim Pontiac was founded in 1926. The last Pontiac was built in 2009 and the company ended on oct. 31 2010. Hopefully this helps answer your question.
