An 86 Blazer has an early fuel injection system called throttle body injection. However, any time you smell raw fuel, whether on start or during running, it means fuel is outside of the engine, not inside. That's not good. You could soon be looking at fire trucks hosing down your vehicle while the roads commissioner is totaling your bill for ruining that particular stretch of their highway. Either way, your vehicle is done for. Get the gas leak fixed BEFORE you recreate your own version of Cheech and Chong's movie, "Up In Smoke".
