Traditionally we always did them in pairs, because its just a matter of time before the 2nd one wears out. And they both have the same mileage and use. I although have heard lately replacing only the worn one. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

More the likely the transmission filter is restricked are stoped up. Check and replace as needed.
You need to check all 4 wheel bearings. REPLACE AS NEEDED
That is something that last the life of the engine almost everytime. You just DON"T have to replace it like it needed done on the old engines.
This can be done, though some modifications may be needed. If you need to replace your core support (rad support) as well, order a core support for a 91 S10 blazer. This will help do away with the mounting issues. I did this to a 1985 S10 blazer and the grill fit fine with the factory core support, but not all of the mounting locations matched.

You can not adjust the timing, Its controled by the ( ECM )- computer no adjustment needed.
There is a spring compressor made by SNAP-On, MAC, etc. I went to a body shop and borrowed one ; then the job is easy.
